Project Description
Dougie had lived in the same house for over 25 years and when he met the woman of his dreams Carol, they decided to start afresh and buy a bungalow together and Carol planned her own mini-grand design and got to work. A challenging project and a tight timeline, the race was on.
Carol and Dougie asked the Dore Woodman team to replumb and install all the bathrooms, install an overlay underfloor heating system, connected to an ASHP with a loft-based cylinder. Having to work around various trades, we returned on numerous occasions but battled through to deliver a tip-top result for a reinvigorated home.
Pleased to report that they’ve just moved in, Dougie has his paint brush in hand, Carol is casting a watchful eye and we wish them the very best for the future.
Embarking on a large project like ours was exciting but daunting!
Unable to buy what we wanted the only way was to enlarge and completely refurbish a property in need of TLC and turn it into our dream home!
With many ideas in our heads we accepted the challenge.
Picking the right builder and tradesmen was a tough call !
We were very fortunate in our builders and in particular our recommended heating engineers /plumbers
Dore Woodman technicians are a dedicated team of enthusiastic and knowledgeable people who have helped our dreams become a reality!
From advice on our ‘semi sunken’ jacuzzi bath (our very own spa at home) to under floor heating and our ASHP ..all very different ideas for us ..we have created a stylish, very personal and practical home
They say ‘the devil is in the detail ‘ and certainly good advice over the innovative and money saving heating system ,the heating manifold being placed in a cupboard creating a wonderfully warm ‘hot airing cupboard’ , useful hot and cold water taps outside the property, patience over the perfect height of the wall hung toilet as I suffer with Rheumatoid Arthritis and the height of the bath and placing of grab rails and my ‘walk in’ shower has made our bathroom not only beautiful but also able to be easily ‘adapted’ if my condition should worsen.
Big shout out to all the guys but a special mention to the very skilful Jordan who is always happy to answer any questions and endlessly patient!
Thanks to you all ….
Cannot recommend too highly!
